Blog Writer, Policy Updates: Fall 2024
The Journal is seeking dedicated and knowledgeable individuals to join our team as Blog Writers for Policy Updates. This role involves crafting well-researched and articulate content that provides timely analysis and commentary on the latest developments in public policy and economics. Writers will have the opportunity to engage with complex issues, contribute to academic discourse, and influence conversations on important policy matters. If you are committed to producing high-quality, impactful writing and have a strong understanding of policy and economic topics, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities

Write an article for the blog once a month that focuses on a political-economic issue/conflict, and highlights global policy and political-economic news.

Attend periodic meetings with our Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editors to pitch article ideas, get editing and content feedback on your articles, and receive writing assignments.

Assist in the visual creation and formation of the Blog.
Necessary Qualities & Experience

Strong Writing, Analytical, and Research Skills.

Attention to Detail.

Creativity and Originality.

Strong Time Management and Organizational skills; Ability to meet hard deadlines.

Background in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a Related Field: Academic or professional experience in these areas is essential to understand and analyze the content effectively.

Previous Writing Experience: Experience in writing for blogs, journals, newspapers, or other publications is preferred.
