Editing Internship: Fall 2024

As an Editing Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in the editorial process, working closely with our managing editors to review and refine submissions, fact-check articles, and ensure that content meets the highest standards of academic integrity and style. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance your formal writing skills, deepen your understanding of political economic academia, and collaborate with intellectual communities at Tulane and across the globe. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, passionate about writing and research, interested in policy and political economy, and eager to learn in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Attend Bi-weekly meetings with your supervisors and the editing team. 

  • Reach out to faculty to update and build up our faculty review board

  • Copyediting article submissions

  • Filtering submissions for quality of research and alignment with Journal topics

  • Collaborate with the other branches and be willing to take assignments from Programming, Operations, and special projects from the Editor-in-Chief.

Necessary Qualities & Experience

  • Familiarity with Policy and Political Economy Topics

  • Adaptability and Willingness to Learn
